What are art editions?

Art editions are original artworks produced in a defined number of examples — prints, photographs, multiples, and works on paper created through an artist-approved process. Each edition maintains a direct connection to the artist's hand and vision, whether produced through traditional printmaking, photographic processes, or contemporary casting techniques.

At MLTPL, we specialise in art editions by internationally recognised contemporary artists — many of them museum-collected, biennial-exhibited, and represented by leading galleries worldwide. Our selection spans lithographs, etchings, screenprints, archival photographs, and sculptural multiples, sourced directly from artists, estates, publishers, and galleries.

Unlike reproductions, art editions are conceived as original artworks in their own right. They form part of the artist's official catalogue and are typically signed, numbered, and accompanied by documentation confirming their authenticity and provenance.

For collectors, art editions offer a compelling combination: the artistic depth of museum-level practice at price points that make meaningful collecting possible.
