About MLTPL

Fine art editions by museum-collected artists.

Why Editions

An edition is not a reproduction — it is an original artwork produced in a fixed number, typically made by the artist or in direct collaboration with a master printer. That distinction matters.

The tradition has always been about access without compromise. When Daniel Spoerri launched Edition MAT in 1959, or when Warhol produced Thirty Are Better Than One, the point was not to dilute the work but to extend it — to put original art by serious artists into more hands. The editions at MLTPL follow that logic: signed, strictly limited, and made by artists whose unique works hang in museum collections worldwide.

Thirty are better than one.

How We Work

Every artist at MLTPL is selected on the basis of institutional significance: we work primarily with artists whose practice is represented in major museum collections — MoMA, Tate, the Centre Pompidou, the Guggenheim. Alongside these, we represent a carefully considered group of emerging artists with serious institutional momentum — representation by galleries of global standing, significant museum exhibitions, and a trajectory that points clearly toward long-term relevance.

Each work is evaluated across multiple criteria: its significance within the artist's broader oeuvre, the quality and condition of the specific impression, aesthetic and art historical value, and the rarity of the individual piece. Works are sourced through our network of trusted partners within the professional international art trade — relationships built over years that give us access to works that rarely reach the open market.

Shipping reflects the same standard. We dispatch artworks to collectors worldwide on a daily basis: professional packaging developed in-house, full insurance as standard, trusted international carriers, and signature-on-delivery for every work.

The multiple is not a reproduction. It is an original idea produced in several copies.

Who We Are

MLTPL is a Hamburg-based gallery specialising in fine art editions by museum-collected artists — prints, photographs, and multiples sourced through the professional international art trade and presented with rigorous attention to accuracy and condition.

Founded by Leon David Dammann, MLTPL draws on direct experience across the international art market. Leon has worked with leading galleries in London and Berlin, and holds degrees from Sotheby's Institute of Art, Lancaster University, and ICADE Madrid. That background informs every acquisition decision: not what sells, but what holds — artists and works with genuine institutional weight and long-term relevance.

MLTPL works with private collectors, interior designers, corporate collections, and art advisors at every stage of collecting — from a first edition to an established collection.
