Carmen Herrera (1915–2022) was a pioneering Cuban-American abstract artist celebrated for her bold use of color and geometric precision. Over a career spanning more than eight decades, she became a leading figure in geometric abstraction and Minimalism, often discussed alongside artists such as Ellsworth Kelly, Agnes Martin, and Frank Stella.
