Zwischen Grün (Between Green) by Günter Fruhtrunk was published as part of the portfolio “spiegel 70“, including 13 prints by artists, such as Jean Arp, Christo, Max Ernst and Victor Vasarely in Cologne, Germany in 1970.

Known for his design of the supermarket ALDI-Nord’s shopping bag, Günter Fruhtrunk was omnipresent not only during the sixties and seventies. His works are characterized by abstract compositions with arrangements of diagonal or vertical lines that create a dynamic rhythm. Today, they still form an indispensable part of numerous collections and museums, such as the Paris Centre Pompidou, the Kunstsammlung NRW, the Lenbachhaus in Munich or the New National Gallery in Berlin. Early in his career Günter Fruhtrunk was inspired by Malevich and the Constructivist school. Later, he was influenced by Jean Arp and Fernand Léger and attained to a unique style which, within a closed system of pictorial techniques, also strove for expressive freedom. Günter Fruhtrunk, German 1923–1982.
